  1. This is one of the best releases that’s been done in a while.
  2. Gene Shalit has died today at the age of 100
  3. I got a ticket for early tomorrow afternoon at EPIC theater, which I’ve never even heard of. Is this where they have the new Donkey Kong and Frankenstein rides? Extreme rear of the theater next to the Disabled Section. Wish me luck.
  4. I’m coming in for a landing on this one. He’s about to get the boot. And yet, just as it was when I watched it on tape and learned to use the Fast Forward function, the movie suddenly comes to a grinding halt in Afghanistan. They arrive in Rambo III after a very tight rather exceptional 90 minutes or so. Everyone knows this section is the weak link. I swear there was some unofficial rule with these Bond flicks to toss an additional 20 minutes into the finale to allot for smoke and piss breaks, during which you wouldn’t miss anything.
  5. Last week I ordered one of those Amazon Print on Demand shirts. I was curious about the quality and the price was dirt cheap, and they offered it in Navy Blue, my favorite color. It came in after I did laundry so I wasn’t able to pre-wash it and see how it holds up to the ravages of industrial washers and driers, but it looks and feels great. It’s one of those Gildan shirts which is like the old American Apparel shirts.
  6. Timothy Dalton got the FOX News Moneypenny.

  8. I’d happily buy these movies for the insanely high VOD early release price. I did it with Horizon, Barbie, Wicked and various other masculine modern movies I’ve actually watched. Spent more than I would have seeing it in the theater too. I swear Horizon was almost 50 dollars. You’re welcome, Kevin. The seat in green is what I’m talking about. I’m not sure what’s in the middle there. Is it a wall for the projection room? It seems most ideal.
  9. I was going to see it today but I just played the HP game instead. I might see it tomorrow but I’m trying to figure out the ideal seat. I’d found one that was perfect earlier today, right above the Handicap Section, but somebody who was also going alone had purchased the seat immediately behind it. That would have been so awkward. There are these seats off to the side in the back with a gap to your left or right if you’re on the end, which also isn’t too far off to the side, but I can’t figure out if they’re next to the doors, which would be terrible.
  10. The new movie has the benefit of computer graphics so they can feature all the dolls by just telling a bunch of hackers to animate them. The old one never even had the budget to feature the more outlandish characters or environments, but I’m sure it will still have the best version of Skeletor when the dust has settled. The main criticism of the original is that it mostly takes place on Earth, which was a budgetary thing. That being said, the new one also features Earth, and Skeletor taking over and apparently Dolph shows up at some point. But it also has a modern jokey tone so it’s more or less a comedy.
  11. Are you one of those people who goes into YouTube comment sections to tell everybody it was their birthday?
