Listening to it now. Sounds great, and the alternates on CD 2 are excellent of course. Nice upgrade. -

Cool. I didn't realize Amazon owned them both.

The implied mission is based on a relationship between Amazon/EON and LLLR, and although not stated in any official form, NSNA isn't an EON production. So it's deductive rather than what anyone has said or is saying. So short answer: Deductive reasoning from scant evidence. That said, I say they should do it if possible as there is a lot of demand, and it is related to Fleming's creation and one of the most iconic actors to play the role.
-
They might expand NSNA, but since it is not part of the official EON bond film series, it is beyond the mission scope. It would be cool for fans of that film and it's score.

Ordered of course. Quite the upgrade. -
I suspect it's likely s different recording (for the soundtrack CD). If not, perhaps the song consisted of more than one recording, or had she looping of the instrumental material for the song? The full instrumental for the song was released on the sing's CD single, and it's funny that it has a bleed-through of some kind with the vocals very quietly audible. While I would prefer to have a properly mastered instrumental of the song, I'm not going to miss it with the album instrumental version presented, and the song included in the right place on CD 1.

I know that LLLR has a good relationship with David Arnold, so that gives me hope for Casino and Quantum. Hopefully Casino will include the film version / mix of You Know My Name, IMHO one of the best songs. What an amazing time to be a Bond score fan.

The 3 remaining anniversary scores for this year would be fantastic for a Black Friday batch. Or sooner of course.. But the 2027 anniversary projections would be AMAZING. Seeing the Craig bond scores tackled is an excellent surprise.

Having the song in with the score (it wasn't on the OST as everyone here knows) is really cool. As usual, LLLR put out a definitive release. The additional material is also excellent, IMHO (I really like Thomas Newman's Bond scores, I know many are less enthused by them). I'm hoping later this year they release more classic Bond scores (I suspect some are on the way). I was pleasantly surprised to see Craig-era scores being tackled.

I was basing my speculation on the way recording license fees have a recording date cutoff that (if I remember correctly) made it financially unfeasible to release. If it can be done, I'll be very happy. 8 Classics to go.

Based on @Jay's summary, it looks like we're at this stage: 2025: A View To A Kill (40th) - Missed, might be coming. GoldenEye (30th) - Missed, might be coming. Spectre (10th) - Missed, might not be possible (too new) 2026: Diamonds Are Forever (55th) - We got it !! Yay !! For Your Eyes Only (45th) - Might be coming Casino Royale (20th) - Might be possible, but perhaps too new? No Time To Die (5th) - Too new, unlikely. 2027: Dr. No (65th) - I think inevitable, but nothing can be added. You Only Live Twice (60th) - I think this is coming. The Spy Who Loved Me (50th) - Likely coming.. The Living Daylights (40th) - This is probably coming. Skyfall (15th) - I think too new. 2028: From Russia With Love (65th) - Inevitable, but not expandable unfortunately. Quantum of Solace (20th) - Probably too new. It's fun reading the tea leaves, and I'm hoping we get all of the classic 20 scores in La-La Land's amazing style. Timing is always wonky due to delays of al sorts, but La-La Land are doing an amazing job in producing definitive versions of these scores, and I'm listening to some of these scores for the first time isolated from the films.
