Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 and maybe he finds abner ravenwood inside
Romão 2,433 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Nurhaci wasn't a diamond. The diamond was just what Indy wanted to get in return.
Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 The diamond was another artifact though, 'The eye of the Peacock'
Mr. Breathmask 623 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 Wasn't that in one of the Young Indys?
Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Wasn't that in one of the Young Indys? And in TOD, indy almost finally lays his hands on it after looking it for several years.Im not sure if its called this way in the TOD movie...
Mr. Breathmask 623 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 I 've only heard of it because one of my Indy VHS copies has a promo for Young Indiana Jones and the Treasure of the Peacock's Eye in front of it.
Ollie 1,324 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Don't think we can guess. After all, the Hovito idol, the Nurhachi diamond and the Cross of Coronado aren't exactly the most well-known artefacts (like the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail)...Although, knowing we've seen images of the warehouse, maybe it actually opens with Indy looking for the Ark again. :cool:Yes it begins with Indy wandering thru the warehouse. "let's see, section B, Row 8?" "No, Section 5 Row 90?" "No.... damn where am I?" "Cockroaches....I hate roaches..." "What's that smell Indy?" "Mothballs.....we're close.....""What's in this box? (Cue John Williams' swelling music with Choir) "Oh look Frank Darabont's original script that had a fresh new idea....."
tpigeon 3 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I guess I never really thought of the opening sequences together, particularly that all three have been very different in content -- from the pure adventure to the Bond-esque nightclub, to the childhood flashback -- as well as how they relate to the rest of the narrative. It will be interesting to see how we are introduced to Indy in KOCS, especially since he's supposed to be past his adventure days now.Ted
Romão 2,433 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Darabont's script was still based on Lucas' concept, as all previous scripts were.
Delorean90 47 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 You know, your saying that reminded me of something--unused ideas from previous scripts have tended to get used in later films with Indy, particularly from Raiders to TOD. With that complex jungle set LEGO is putting out, it makes me wonder: could we see at least shades of that sequence that had, I think, a tank, from the Monkey King script? I seem to recall it being some kind of tank or something in the jungle, and I think there was a rhino or something. Does anyone with a better recollection have any thoughts?
Henry B 51 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 What we need is Indy fighting a Chinese dragon in the Netherworld.
Jacob 1 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I 've only heard of it because one of my Indy VHS copies has a promo for Young Indiana Jones and the Treasure of the Peacock's Eye in front of it.Yeah, it's one of those prequel linkey thingies.
Docteur Qui 1,581 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 The TOD sequence also ties into the end of the Emperor's Tomb game.
Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Darabont's script was still based on Lucas' concept, as all previous scripts were. And he claims Marion was his idea. Why would he include her...if he didnt had any relation with raiders in mind?
soundwave 0 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 According to this website, http://www.theprivateuniverse.co.uk/cgi-bi...;articleid=2464, Shia LaBeouf's name in the movie is Mutt Williams.
Romão 2,433 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 It has also been up at IMBD, but we all know how reliable they are.
Delorean90 47 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Ahem...Mutt Williams Ravenwood, thank you.
Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Williams?Some nod to our John? ^_^
King Mark 3,853 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 It's amazing how little we know about this film yet.not a single film clip yet.By now we had most of the SW prequels spoiled to the last frame
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 11,129 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Spielberg does not work that way.
John Crichton 4 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Yes, much better this way. In fact I could live without a trailer and not see anything until I see the movie.
Ollie 1,324 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Or it could all be a bad sign and show the lack of enthusiasm for this film by the movie going public.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 11,129 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Please man, it's Indiana Jones!
Luke Skywalker 2,244 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Spielberg does not work that way.he always releases some trailers...
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 11,129 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 The film won't be released for more them 4 months.
Ollie 1,324 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 If I'm not mistaken Spielberg is not one to over hype his films. I imagine the press machine will start once March rolls around.Of course they could be saving the first trailer for the Superbowl commercials.
tpigeon 3 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Here's a new official photo, released today. Let the drooling begin...Ted
Romão 2,433 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 That's Marion between Mac and Indy and Mutt, right?
John Crichton 4 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I swear that costume makes Ford look 10 years younger.
Red 75 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Actually, he looks pretty old in that pic. Maybe it's the pants.
indy4 159 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Actually, he looks pretty old in that pic. Maybe it's the pants.I agree. I think they look too neat and tidy for Indy, it only ages him. But maybe it's a part of his teacher costume...
Jacob 1 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I wonder if that's an official Boy Scout belt he's wearing. Looks familiar...
indy4 159 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 You're right, I didn't catch that!Well, it was revealed that he was a Boy Scout in LC, so it's always a possibility!
indy4 159 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I just got a question mark.I did ctrl click thing, but I was directed to a page that was "not found."
Olivier 5 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 The tricky thing about such cases is that I can see the picture on my computer, so I am not aware there is a problem. Here is a link to the page.
Damo 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 FYI: Alright...back on the topic...according to CHUD's Site, the trailer for Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skulls will debut in theatres on the 14th on February and it will be available on the net on 15th of February at midnight.
King Mark 3,853 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 even the score recording sessions should be finished by then

indy4 159 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I know the sets have been posted before, but I don't think a close up of the actual figure has.
