In 10 years, this group hasn't changed as much as people think.

Stefan Cosman, LORD and Master. In the world of John Williams, Stefan Is. Is what a simpleton might ask, he is all. He is Jaws, he is Star Wars, he is the Last Crusader. He is even Peter Pan. It is an honor to do his bidding.

Mark Olivarez, Sage Elder. In the world of John Williams Mark is wise. Mark is more than John Williams, he is more than Jerry Goldsmith, he among us is the purest of Filmscore fans. Listen to him. Much he can teach you.

King Mark, Williams Savant. In the World of John Williams, he is the completist. Every second of every minute of every hour, the King must have it. Fiercely loyal to the Empire, he knows no fault in the Star Wars universe.

Bow, Yield, Kneel, before Zod.

Yet you spelled my name wrong.

As President of JWFan I refuse to recognize the authority of this autocratic cabal.

Officially. Of course I willingly bow before their power as everyone else should.

good maybe i can catch up to him, he owes me those 6 months after James died that I didn't post. it allowed him to catch up and pass me.

Of course you know the Klingon proverb that says Revenge is a dish that is best served cold.

Speaking of KM, where's he been? Haven't seen him post in awhile.

Didn't his PC go kaput?

Posted

he bought a new one. btw he is Non, while you would be Zod, and Stefan is clearly Ursa.

you're Drax, a meglomaniac who wants to annihilate most of humanity, then repopulate the world with only pretty people, all the while missing the fact that you are most unattractive and would not fit in your new society.

Posted

I'd just breed a society of women who look like Barbara Bach, Lois Chiles, Tanya Roberts, and specially for Hitch, ones that look like Sigourney Weaver.

Posted

thats fine as long as the men you breed don't look like you, unless Hitch goes for that kind of man. You do have that rough trade quality I suppose.

Posted

I won't be breeding any men in my lifetime. I can't have any competition over the millions of ladies I'll breed.

EDIT: Define "rough trade". :P

Is that the updated trio? The Phantom zone Trio was K.M., Stefancos and Crushercommix

Posted

crusher is gone(oh I know he lurks and lingers but he doesn't post with regularity), you three are the current leaders post wise, that makes you the current Phantom Zone trio.

Posted

Hrumph. I was number 2 once.

I guess that's what having a life does to you.

Drax just became Harcourt Fenton Mudd

I wouldn't have dubbed you as part of the trio since you're a moderator.

still #4 isn't bad you know.

Bah! Discrimination!

Hey I'm close to surpassing John.

In quantity perhaps. Quality is a whole other matter.

The only way someone is gonna catch up to Steef is if he dies. Even then it'll take a couple years.

Who wants to catch up to my post count?

Is that how it is, eh? To hell with the Crichton administration!

I'm not sure where you're going, but I wont be naming you as a member of the Phantom Zone Trio anytime soon. To date there have only been 5 members. Oh and if you're wondering, I've always been the one to name the trio. Its an honor I will one day pass on, but only upon my deathbed.

I sense you are plotting something fiendish no doubt

Hmm... I've been in this site for almost ten years, and my post count remains as puny and scrawny as it's always been.

That's because we don't see enough of you on here

Were we to count your freaky blue kid days, you'd be approaching 6000. Not sure what my excuse is -- my online JW forum participation predates the fateful Brazilian ransacking that ended the Groovy Yak years and ushered in the present-day Ricard era.

Being single last year got me at least 2000 posts. And I was probably drunk whilst typing most of them. No regrets! I love this place.

Quality is an interesting matter to assess. For sheer fluency in musical jargon, it's hard to compete with Marcus. For exhaustive cue-by-cue, track-by-track, edit-by-edit analyses, you've got a whole host of candidates from which to choose.

But, for my money, over the course of this message board's history, the member whose posts I've always held up as exemplary is Uni. His singular combination of wit, care in thought, and generosity of spirit is rare; it's a shame the pickings are so slim.

Posted

Yes, Marcus' indepth contributions are always worth a read, as are yours Alan. There are many good minds on here. Morlock for instance always puts a lot into his posts, and whilst he sometimes goes on a bit, his is an opinion I value.

When all is said and done though, I favour personality over content. The people who post short two sentence off-the-cuff comments are the backbone of this place.

...the fateful Brazilian ransacking...

I know some people that would pay good money for that.
