The dreams aren't important! What's important is you have a good time dreaming it!

Oh I am sorry, Drax. Were we having a good time???

Dreams don't really have a deeper meaning, not to burst anyone's bubble. As I've said before, it's just your brain trying to formulate and understand recent events in your physical life. Remember, almost all dreams occur during REM sleep, when our brain basically has complete control over our bodies.

Or they can be memory-related. You can have dreams of past events, but that's when it probably links to something recent.

Some are pleasant, some are not...Just enjoy them while you can. Why do we enjoy dreams? Well, they add an abstract and surreal environment to our boring and meaningless lives.

It's a proven known fact that all Zimmerites lead a boring life.

and forget this bull about dreams being the minds way of formulating recent events in our lives.

This morning's dream I had about Russian women doing the chicken dance on a Soviet game show, doesn't exactly fit that pattern

Stop Stefan, now I will start dreaming about a russian fashion show where all the big soviet woman are "vearing svimvear." all those big girls in industrial gray bikini's, and having unibrows

A car hits a Russian man. The paramedic rushes over and says, "Are you comfortable?" The guy says: "I make a good living."

I had a dream last night. I was in a church where John Williams was performing a concert.

Then the location for the concert kind of transformed into the cul-de-sac in front of my house (or maybe it was just an 'after party' that was in front of my house -- you know how dreams are).

I remember stressing on deciding which CD to try to get signed, and also finding a sharpie that worked.

When I finally did (I don't remember the album I chose) I headed outside only to see Williams taking off in ET's spaceship, and then despairing that I had missed the opportunity of a lifetime. ROTFLMAO

But then I had a little hope that he hadn't left yet, and was actually in this replica of the Millennium Falcon that just getting ready to leave.

I made it inside, but he wasn't there of course. Just these 'supporting cast' maintenance type characters that were trying to get the ship working.

They kind of lifted off sideways, trying to level something out. I remember grabbing on to stuff trying to keep from falling over.

Then I woke up.

This is the second dream I've had featuring a failed chance to meet John Williams.

I don't like this trend. I don't like this trend at all.

Do you ever have epic adventurous dreams?

Yes.

Posted

I also have quite a few dreams about Great White Sharks for some reason.

Here's another one, have you ever had a dream, forgotten about it, then months later you're doing something in real life and you have a strong sense of deja vu and the dream suddenly comes back to you?

Freaky.

This thread couldn't have been dug up at a worse time because last night I dreamt I slept with my cousin. If that ain't bad enough, I really enjoyed it :P

Is she hot?

Or was it a he?

:P

She's 22, very slim and attractive, we see a lot of each other. My mind was in the gutter when I awoke, jeez. To quote Corey Haim: "THIS IS NOT GOOD, MIKE".

Allenby: Well, naturally.

Lawrence: No, something else.

Allenby: I see. Well that's all right. Let it be a warning.

Lawrence: No, something else.

Allenby: What then?

Lawrence: I enjoyed it.

For a brief moment I thought it's just another Inception-inspired topic.

no my epic dreams make Inception exactly what it is overrated claptrap. I created this thread before Nolans last movie had even been released, let alone this one.

Crazy, I can't even remember a single image from the first dream I posted in this thread. I can't remember any recent dreams that I've had. I know I had a cool one recently, but of course can't remember any of it. I've been having a huge case of deja vu lately though, which could somehow fit with what Mark said earlier. I don't how often is normal, but I'll get a strong case of it, where I'm really positive I've seen/heard something before, about every few weeks or so.

You can always say it was me instead of you.

Anybody else not enjoying dreams lately? While I've had a few vivid nightmares, most of my dreams have been random and inexplicable. The particular thing is that they feel out of character; or at least I hope they are (especially when something happens such as cheating on my girlfriend). Nothing I do, say or want in my dreams is consistent or makes any sense. It's vague, aimless and boring. Really, I wonder what this means.

Posted

Dreams don't mean anything to me. My dreams are rarely exciting, then again I can only remember .01% of them. They all seem pretty good when I'm in them.

Typical brutalist Koray response! :P Dreams may not have clear meanings but they do influence our lives. You know the expression "waking up on the wrong side of the bed"? Well, having a jumbled, confusing and basically nihilistic dream is like that. My first thoughts upon many a waking are "What the fuck was all that about?" or "Finally, the boredom is over." My dreams lately are almost as bland as Christopher Nolan's!

:P I think the most exciting/hilarious dream I've ever had was of me and Jamie Lee Curtis getting chased by Michael Myers, and we were all characitures. May have already said that in this thread actually. There were probably better ones, a lot better, but I just don't remember them after I wake up. I can maybe retell less than 10 dreams in a decent amount of detail.

Dreams tend to illicit a "What the fuck was that?" response because they're all random.

you need to control your dreams Koray, or at least to a degree, It's very easy to wake up out of one and go back to sleep right back into it. At least for me.
