  1. 1. Which Tintin track list is real?

    • The 19 track version will be used everywhere
    • The 18 track version will be used everywhere
    • Some countries will get the 19 track version and some will get the 18 track version

Is anyone surprised?

Nah. Not one bit. A pessimist will never be disappointed. ;)

So just as KM predicted... we have an aborted, holy grail unreleased cue :)

Also explains the lack of a majestic theme... Williams has microedited them all out. They're not musically logical!

He is going humble on us again! "I bet no one wants to hear my fanfares and flourishes anymore, I'll edit them out."

We still are not totally sure picking pockets will not surface AT ALL, since the samples were posted on a foreign site.....could be that version of the soundtrack has that cue dropped.

It seems that the 18 track version is appearing only on German websites so far. Could it be that only poor Germans are getting a Picking Pockets-less version? :)

That's very very hard to imagine.

I can imagine a European version/Asian version/American version... but no German version!

Although, if that means we can get a 19-track version somehow, I am all for it!

I doubt Williams made that call. He can screw up CD releases, but I don't think he would care about which country gets a certain listening experience.

It is truly a conundrum how these retailers get their information and who sends it to them. Sony has done a pretty dismal job with this release, distributing these 2 different track lists with more retailers getting the 19 track one opposed to the 18.

So many of them are using the unfinished artwork without Williams name as well

Yeap. Noticed that from Maurizio's link as well.

I got an e-mail reply from Sony:

Can you let me know on which website have found pre-order with 19 tracks? I would ensure this gets corrected.

For info the final tracklisting approved by John Williams, which will be included on this soundtrack includes 18tracks.

Woe is us! It is now officially confirmed. Bye bye Picking Pockets and A Thirst for Adventure. We hardly knew you!

I just sent it to the standard Sony Classical address. I've pleaded to include Picking Pockets somewhere as a download or something. Perhaps, if there were many of us who - politely - asked, perhaps they would see there's a demand and try to please the hard-core fans.
