Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 O.K. The guy deserves his own. He's the next Giacchino, who is the next John Williams. So basically HE IS John Williams.I just actually really want to know what's going on with the Mercenaries 2 score. It's not up on iTunes yet.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 It should be, the release date on Soundtrack.net says Sept. 9th.
Indiana_Fett 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I love the Mercenaries score. I'm just trying to determine who wrote which themes.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 According to my CD, Giacchino wrote the main theme, while everything else was Tilton.
Indiana_Fett 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 But the main theme contains other themes...
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Oh ho. Well it's best to ask Tilton, he posts here from time to time.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 He is humble. After all, he is John Williams.
John Crichton 4 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 He's the next Giacchino, who is the next John Williams. So basically HE IS John Williams.Heh, you pretty much stole my planned post.
Neimoidian 14 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I haven't heard a single note by Mr. Tilton, but in an act of support to fellow MB member I express my enthusiasm about the release of the score.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,949 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 What's next a seperate thread discussing the new releases of Clay Duncan?
redfoxden 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 The score to the game Jumper: Griffin's Story is now available on Chris Tilton's website at http://www.christilton.com/mp3/jumper_soundtrack.zip.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 Of course! It's Chris Tilton. I wonder if this being released has anything to do with the e-mail I sent to Brash Entertainment.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I listened to it a few moments ago. It is a great soundtrack. I really like the cue "I Barely Know Her!". If only Mark Griskey released his music for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed....
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 Go this site: http://www.christilton.com/Learn about this man, because he is awesome. Click on La Lune under Recent Projects, and download it (it's free), and listen to it. It's only 7 minutes long, but it's brilliant.
fommes 161 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Listening to The Jumper now, so far so good! And I have fond memories of the first Mercenaries score. It's the only one I ever won in a contest. It's not often in my player though, for no reason in particular (perhaps because I don't listen all that often to the few video game scores I have). I should give it another chance.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 I'm still waiting for Mercenaries 2. Maybe it was delayed a week. Come on, Tuesday!
Chris.Tilton 0 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I'm still waiting for Mercenaries 2. Maybe it was delayed a week. Come on, Tuesday! There was a snag or something (I don't really know the details) which caused the submission process to start over. It's looking more likely that it'll come out in October now.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 No!!Oh well, another month ain't so bad.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Yes it is. Mercenaries II: World in Flames is another temptation to steal my money in time for the Indiana Jones Box Set. I think there is a plot here.

La Lune reminds me alot of Mannheim Steamroller. Very Chip Davis like in its sound.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 I sent an e-mail to Chris's site asking if they could post up high res artwork for the scores they have available for download. I mean, Shrek Super Party, Muppets: Party Cruise, and Alias: The Game all have high res artwork available for download, why not the other scores? The ones I particularly want are for The Sunday Man, Jumper: Griffin's Story, and La Lune.Chris - You have the artwork right there in the tiny box, just make it bigger!

Jumper, not yet, but soon.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 Ah ok. No problem there.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 Chris, any news on Mercenaries 2?
Chris.Tilton 0 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Chris, any news on Mercenaries 2?AmazonMP3 - Oct. 28Nettwerk - Oct. 28iTunes - Nov 4th
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 Amazon mp3 for me, I'm not waiting for iTunes.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 I listened to both Mercenaries: Playground Of Destruction and Mercenaries 2: World In Flames. Chris, you've done a great job on these. I really liked World In Flames, more so than the first. The guitar was a nice touch and it felt more epic and action-filled to me.The Main Theme, Solano's Villa, Streets Of Venezuela, Taking Out The Rig, Jungle Brawl, Grotto Del Guerilla, and the End Credits are the highlights for me. Man, those End Credits kick ass.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 You just reminded me: I need to buy that score soon. And what on earth is "Nettwerk"?
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 A quick google search leads me to believe it's a representation group. They manage artists and handle publishing and records. Here is a link to their store where you can buy Mercenaries 2. I like that you can get it in mp3 or FLAC. I personally prefer mp3, but it's nice to know they give options to those who really care. I bought mine from Amazon for a nice $8.99
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Very tempting. Hm, "Mercenaries II: World In Flames", or my school lunch for the week? Ah, my stomach will adjust. I am getting the former.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 Okay, so I tried contacting LucasArts to get them to release the Fracture score, but they don't have an e-mail address! What's up with that? I need this score! It's obviously out there for people to review, and to give samples. Why not just release the damn thing?!EDIT: Woops, never mind. I found this little bit from an interview with Jesse Harlin:CC: Will there be an official soundtrack release?Jesse Harlin: It’s in the works. We’re working right now on establishing a means of digital distribution for the soundtrack, but nothing has been finalized yet. I’m trying to do everything I can to ensure that it gets out there, though. Michael, Chad, and Chris have written a great score and I want the fans to be able to hear it and enjoy it.Bring it on!
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Well, I just played "Mercenaries II: World in Flames", thusly hearing the score. I did not get far at all, as the game froze up on me (every time I tried playing it), so I am not sure if I can really comment on the score, but ah well. I really like the Spanish flair to some of the pieces, Chris, though there were a few odds and ends, so to speak, that I cannot say that I really enjoyed. That opinion may or may not change if I can manage to get anywhere farther in the game. Blockbuster and I do not seem to get along well....
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 I'd say it's his best score, up there with Black and La Lune.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Does Blockbuster allow you to trade a defective Disk for a better one, if they have another copy? (Oh, and I never listened to those scores yet, honestly. I suppose I should.)
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 I haven't rented a game or movie for like 10 years, but I'm sure you could. Although I'm pretty sure the game doesn't freeze, the system does.Go to his site, christilton.com, you can download a lot of his work for free.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Nice.... And the Disk is clearly scratched beyond repair.
Nick Parker 3,048 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I just listened to "La Lune". It was short, but sweet. Nice job, Chris!
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted December 6, 2008 Author Posted December 6, 2008 La Lune is one of my favorite pieces of music of '08.
bondo 33 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Any word on a score release (commercial or digital) for FRACTURE? I've been listening to the clips from Tracksounds' review nonstop, and I want that promo disc! It's got that great 'old' movie feel to it.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 No word that I've heard of. Apparently a digital release is in the works. I hope it eventually sees the light of day.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Well I e-mailed Heavy Iron Studios expressing wishes for a release of Tilton's music for their Incredibles games.
Luke Skywalker 2,204 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 i saw some good quality Fractured footwarmer today, but when i entered the shopstore they were already sold out...Anybody managed to get a spare pair that can lend me?
