Still Unreleased Important Music:

-ToD:

The Starving Village

A Plea for Help (?)

The Maharaja

End Credits (film Version opening) (?)

-Last Crusade:

Package From Dad

Inscription on the Rock

The Two Joneses (?)

For TOD, you forgot "A True Believer" - awesome, lengthy cue, and NOT ceremony music redux.

As for TLC, "The Catacombs" and "Henry Gets Shot" are both way important cues than some of the ones chosen for the OST and Concord box...

So I was thinking this morning... even though we now know the leak was a fake, it still is useful. For example, because of it, we now have a better version of "The Mummy Cave" than the original bootleg from back in the day.

The question still remains.... what is the source of the leak? It can't just be somebody took the DCC and OST tracks and cleaned up the sound of 3 tracks from the boot.... because of all the new clean endings on the leak that were never available before. I think it must have come from somewhere within Concord or Lucasfilm, how else could that music get out?

And, therefore... if somebody within the system did leak this out... maybe after the box set is released they will leak out further music that isn't in the box?

It was most definitely not a fake.

The cues from LC which I would've liked to have seen are:

Package From Dad

Inscription on the Rock

Professor Jones is Shot

Keeping Up With the Joneses film version (yes, I know some people think it's tracked. I don't)

Professor Jones (cue after the sneaking in the castle)

Put those cues on, and Crusade would've satisfied my wishes.

I'm going by what others say for Temple, because I've seen the movie about 3 times and really am not familiar with any of the unreleased music. It's going to be like hearing a new vintage Williams score for the first time.

The cue on the boot known as "The Birds of Charlemagne," based on the Scherzo theme, is certainly an original cue. The film version replaces the Father's theme at the end with the Raiders March. I'm not sure if that's another revised cue or just tracking (though I don't recognize it from anywhere else in the score).

Woah...

I've always been rather cynical of HMV and Virgin. Might take a couple of days longer but that's a £10 saving.

Jessie - you might wanna check that link above.

Hmmm, even with the extra postage 26.99 Euro is still cheaper, I think...

Amazon's back up to 47.99

I was hoping for another price drop! Guess we still have a couple weeks...

HAHAHAHAH. This is like the stock market...

Are these prices really going up and down like you're saying? They seem to be changing a few times a day...

I think 27 euros is about £22, not much cheaper at all. Don't know what the postage is from Germany but I suspect it will add up to more.

I'm sticking with HMV now.

My pre-order is locked @ $46.99 ,which as far as I know is the lowest it's been. I expect it to down to the ballpark of 39.99 - 41.99, but it could stay where it's at.

I think postage was about 3 Euros, but I get 10% off at the moment at amazon (dunno why, but maybe because I always pay with my credit card?), so I pay about 27.60 Euro postage included!

:)

next time, dont be shy of sharing that amazing price with us ;)

I won't. Isn't there a Spanish amazon? :P

I would assume that the exchange rate would be whatever it is at the time of billing, which is the shipping date.

You people will do anything to save a penny or two huh? hehe

Anyways for me I'm not canceling my order, Amazon will be getting my money so hopefully either by November 13th or even before I'll get my set. :P Just over 2 weeks, I can't wait!

You're saying there's more music missing from Temple than Crusade? That's surprising.

Not really. There was less Temple available before, and since they're about the same length, it'd make sense that if they paid the same amount of re-use increment fees, that there'd still be more Last Crusade available.

Where is artjeffrey? We need that countdown poster!

I know, I know! I wish I knew how to make it work. This is such a big release, we've all waited for so long, we should have a countdown.

And something big should happen on midnight of the 11th. Maybe the counter could explode or something.

Here's a countdown to November 11th (though sadly not nearly as cool looking as artyjeffrey's):

http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/custom...ec=0&p0=805

I made it counting down from Ohio's time zone, as Concord is based in Ohio (according to the "Contact Us" address).

You know what, artjeffery? I am going to start a thread for the sole purpose of showcasing your artwork.

That's a nice compliment my friend, but I don't know if I could keep it up... I'm unfortunately losing my job this week, like so many others out there, and I'll be busy trying to a.) find a new job, and b.)keep my sense of humor. Since I'm a born goofball, the humor part'll be easy, but the production aspect will suffer.

By the way, all of my little sketchy cartoons are visible here, along with slightly embarrassing things as well. Though they're bigger images, they reveal that the cartoons were drawn/inked on craptacular computer paper at my job! One of these days I'll have to bust out the bristol and do somethin' fancy. :D

Heck, at any rate, WE GOT US A COUNTER!!! Thanks Indy

But of course, you living in the US get free super saver shipping and a delivery estimate of one week. I pay full shipping to europe plus my delivery estimated arrival was between 25-30 december (usually it's just 15 days but you never know)

so yes, ordering in germany can ge a good deal :)

Oh! The release date is Nov 11 in the US, but in the UK and Europe it's Nov 17 and 18 respectively.

:D

But that doesn't matter! :)

What do you mean exchange rate? I thought Spain had Euro! Or did you order from the US? :(

This might've been answered in about page 50 of the last thread, so please forgive me for asking, but does it seem like the unreleased portions of "Belly of the Steel Beast" will make it onto the release? I really enjoy the complete music in the film.

Also, I just realised, but I'll be on holiday when the collection is released. The same happened when the KotCS album was released. I'll be in the same place too!!! Oooh, eerie.

Both "Belly of the Steel Beast" and "On The Tank (The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword)" are on the set, albeit as two separate tracks. Apparently for the actual film version you'll need to do some editing as "Tank" in the film is in the middle of "Belly". I'm not too fussed, since the album presentation is how Williams would have originally intended it.

I'm still not sure about that ToD Finale, yet everything else about this set seems on the level so I'm sure it will all be fine. I hope.

Hey gang,

So I ripped the entire audio of the T.O.D. DVD to my computer last night and examined everything and figured out some good stuff!

First up: We've actually had a piece of "Return To The Village" all along! I figured out exactly what's in the track "Finale and End Credits" from the TOD OST:

[0:00-0:32] is the first 32 seconds of "Return To The Village"

[0:32-end] is the bulk of "End Credits", missing only the first 26 seconds.

Essentially, "End Credits" doesn't sound great to start on its own (as its meant to overlap the last two notes of "Return To The Village", which you can hear right now in BOB_OUTROEND), so Williams replaced the beginning of the piece with the beginning of "Return To The Village" for a more traditional sounding track.

The first 32 seconds of "Return To The Village" can be heard in the movie starting at 1:49:50. You'll notice this is exactly the same as the first 32 seconds of the OST track, but then when the B theme comes in, it is different than the B theme on the OST. The film is more traditional sounding, in vein with the music that's been playing, while the OST version now has Shorty's Theme interlaced with the B theme. That's because the OST track has now switched over to right when the B theme comes in during the End Credits. You can hear this in the movie starting at 1:53:35.

From that point on, in the film, the End Credits might seem different to you than the rest of the OST track, but I confirmed that it's simply an edit, removing several sections, and doesn't contain anything you can't find in the OST track.

One last thing about the End Credits.... if you combine the 5:47 of End Credits we've had all along on the OST, with the 26 seconds we know is missing... we get a total of 6:13..... and since the Concord track is 6:19 and just called "End Credits"... I truly think it's possible we are getting the actual real full End Credits here... and they simply neglected to put "**" next to both End Credits and "Return To The Village". If I'm wrong, I did confirm that the missing 26 seconds can be ripped completely clean from the DVD.

No, there are still things we'll need from the DVD.

Here is what I believe to be a complete list of T.O.D. music that won't be included in the Concord set, ignoring the Temple chanting music for now (we'll get to that later):

  • Shanghai, 1935 [0:14] - Can be ripped cleanly from the DVD!
  • Fast Streets Of Shanghai (missing section) [0:10] - Can be ripped cleanly from the DVD! (11:26-11:36) It belongs at 0:46 into the track.
  • The Starving Village [1:12] - Can be ripped cleanly from the DVD! (19:57-21:09) It belongs blended into the end of "Slalom On Mt Humol"
  • A Plea For Help [2:14] - Can be ripped from DVD (22:47-25:01), can't remember how clean
  • They Stole The Children (Alternate) [3:23] - Is available clean in the Lego files, though I'm not sure if its complete or if that time is right.
  • The Maharajah [0:37] - Can be ripped cleanly from DVD, until the end which blends in with source music
  • The Feast [1:04] - Is actually 6 separate tracks, all of which blend in with source music in the film
  • A True Believer [5:35] - Can be ripped from the DVD (1:12:01-1:17:36), for the most part pretty clean, but certain sections have all kinds of noise and voices over them. A shame this cue wasn't included on disc 5.
  • Bridge Percussion [2:05?] - Plays for 2:05 in the movie (1:43:16-1:45:21), but I think the full recording is longer (as evident in the Lego files I believe)

TOTAL (not including Temple chanting stuff): 16:34 (about 5 minutes completely clean, the rest only partially clean I believe)

All of "Discovery Of The Ark" is there, it's "Marion Into the Pit" that isn't on the new set (but was on the DCC LP)

As I just laid out a few posts up, I think the full TOD end credits ARE there.

Yep, it does appear the intro to Escape From Venice is again missing

Yep, it's a shame about the "Fast Streets" missing chunk

Eh, we don't even know which of the source music in William's anyway

And the "Deal / Too Much" tracks should actually contain MORE music than is in the film

None of these can be ripped cleanly without somekind of ambiance noise

Other than that I do think it's possible that End Credits on disk 2 contains the unreleased music we want and they forgot to put ** next to it , because if they used the ToD OST version they'd have to to put part of the same cue on disk 5 and Bouzereau seems fussy no to do that .

Yep. Once you know to listen for it, the edit at 0:32 is obvious.

Yes, for me it has always been obvious, but I can see somebody could be confused about it.

I too think it's not so unlikely we'll get the actual ToD end credits on disc 2, as KM and Jason have just said.
