Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 "Well, isn't that what all those people ripping music from the DVD's rear channels were looking for?"

Henry B 51 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Grand Suite from Harry Potter?I hope that is a "sign" for a big announcementNo, he's been doing this "Grand Suite" since PoA.
MissPadmé 17 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 and a fantastic suite it is.. the concert Version of Double Trouble and Window to the Past are amazing
King Mark 3,975 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 If he plays Double Trouble with no choir it would be worth recording
Hlao-roo 390 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 If he plays Double Trouble with no choir it would be worth recordingIt would be worth a squee fart.
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 "Well, isn't that what all those people ripping music from the DVD's rear channels were looking for?" Laugh all you want, that's basically what happened when Williams agreed on the TPM UE.
Muad'Dib 2,059 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'm curious to know... Why "Buckbeack's Flight" isn't featured on the Grand Suite from Harry Potter? It's probably one of the best themes from POA.
Nick Parker 3,049 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I have not listened to the Suite, but it was probably omitted because it was not necessary to tell the musical story of Harry Potter.
King Mark 3,975 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I'm curious to know... Why "Buckbeack's Flight" isn't featured on the Grand Suite from Harry Potter? It's probably one of the best themes from POA.no ,he never played it's in concert..it's another Han Solo and the Princess
Maurizio 6,913 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Anyone will attend these upcoming concerts?
Muad'Dib 2,059 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Today could be the day of that "big" announcement
davros72 1 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Today could be the day of that "big" announcement Huh?
Docteur Qui 1,581 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 I'm guessing this anticipated announcement is Williams' position on scoring Deathly Hallows, i.e. whether he is or isn't, officially.

Muad'Dib 2,059 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Cool, thanks for the info! How was the Football encore? And how the audience reacted to it?
Richard P 5,303 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 "Well, isn't that what all those people ripping music from the DVD's rear channels were looking for?" Laugh all you want, that's basically what happened when Williams agreed on the TPM UE.Woah, Williams actually approved that mess?Does actually have sort of a point though. If the prequels were re-released with 5.1 isolated scores, this board would go mental with joy.
Charlie Brigden 7 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Weird, I remember reading something that JW was very unhappy that the TPM UE was put out with the "Album produced by John Williams" credit on it.
QMM 4 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Cool, thanks for the info! How was the Football encore? And how the audience reacted to it?Recording never did much for me but it sounded great. Crowd reaction overall was among the best I've ever seen. Williams called the CSO the best orchestra in the world which he's never said before.
Diego 21 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Weird, I remember reading something that JW was very unhappy that the TPM UE was put out with the "Album produced by John Williams" credit on it.I think almost every album says produced by John Williams, I don't think it means much, it probably has to do with him being the conductor and thus being sort of a "producer".
King Mark 3,975 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Does actually have sort of a point though. If the prequels were re-released with 5.1 isolated scores, this board would go mental with joy.yeah because we could use a lot of material to make edits. And the score in RotS is less edited in the film than on the OST
Maurizio 6,913 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 So, no one of the attendees tried to catch Mr Williams after the concerts?Last time he was in Chicago (Nov 2007) he was very open and met with several fans, including myself Let's hope he will record the newly-arranged Sunday Night Football Theme soon!

This time I didn't think I'd be able to do that again so I waited in the parking lot, but Williams just got into his car and drove off.

Maurizio 6,913 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 The two times I met him in Chicago he had a driver (who is actually an Italian guy, as he spoke to me in perfect Italian).
WhtShark 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Let's hope he will record the newly-arranged Sunday Night Football Theme soon!He said during the concert(s) that he likes to call that piece "Wide Receiver".
fommes 165 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Wow, so now there are THREE John Williamses in the world?
