John Williams and Anne-Sophie Mutter recently met at the Sony Scoring Stage in Los Angeles for the recording of ‘Across the Stars: Music of John Williams’ an album featuring new arrangements for violin that Williams wrote for Mutter last year.
Williams performed piano in some of the cues, with Gloria Cheng and Steven Spielberg attending one of the rehearsals at the Maestro’s office in Hollywood.
Mutter will perform a program based on her new album in two concerts at Tanglewood (July 7) and Munich (September 14).
