Confirmed: Williams to Conduct the Berlin Philharmonic in October

As announced by John Williams himself last November and now confirmed by the orchestra’s website, John Williams will return to Europe this year to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in three performances to take place on October 14, 15, and 16.

Ticket packages are now available, while individual tickets will go on sale on August 9.

The story of film music would be different without him: John Williams. Cinema classics like Star Wars , Indiana Jones and Harry Potter are inextricably linked to his soundtracks. There are unforgettable, radiant themes, an impressive variety of moods and sounds and at the same time the composer’s unmistakable handwriting. John Williams is now making his debut as a conductor with the Berliner Philharmoniker. The program includes some of the most famous scores of his work – and thus the film music in general.
