On August 5, John Williams and David Newman will conduct the Boston Pops Orchestra in a selection of Williams’ works for the annual Film Night at Tanglewood. Three days later, on August 8, Williams will join Keith Lockhart and Andris Nelsons at Tanglewood on Parade, in which the Maestro will conduct selections from Far and Away, Born on the Fourth of July and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
This year’s Tanglewood season will also include a performance of Williams’ violin concerto conducted by Andris Nelsons, with Anne-Sophie Mutter on violin (August 11), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Concert (August 26) and Star Wars: The Story in Music (August 27), both conducted by Keith Lockhart.
