Williams’ ‘War Horse’ Nominated for the Satellite Awards

John Williams’ score for War Horse has been nominated for the 2011 Satellite Awards, an annual award given by the International Press Academy.  The other nominees in the original score category are Marco Beltrami for Soul Surfer, Alexandre Desplat for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Michael Giacchino for Super 8, Cliff Martinez for Drive, and James Newton Howard for Water for Elephants.
