As expected, John Williams’ score for the latest Spielberg film is among the nominees for this year’s Academy Awards, to be held on February 24 in Los Angeles. Lincoln has received a total of 12 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director. The other contenders in the Original Score category are Dario Marianelli for Anna Karenina, Alexandre Desplat for Argo, Mychael Danna for Life of Pi, and Thomas Newman for Skyfall. — Full list of nominees
