It would have been more accurate and more funny.

It was a stab in the dark. I obviously did not hit your funny bone. Next time I'll aim at your funny jugular.

But I stand by my lame joke.

Jason, can you at least tell us what are the themes in this score? Please! Tintin, Snowy, Haddock, The Unicorn, Red Rackham, Sakharine?

But I stand by my lame joke.

Lame jokes are the funniest. People should know that by now.

If Sakharine has a theme, I'm sure it will be way too sugary for me to like it.

See: that is a lame joke, yet it's funny as hell.

I sort of set that up. I want in on the royalties if you make money out of that joke!

I expect Track 1, "The Adventures Of Tintin", is the original End Credits suite, which as we know Williams called "Tinker-tin" on the sheet music (link)

I expect "Snowy's Theme" is either a combination of cues from the movie that feature Snowy's Theme, or is an original concert arrangement.

"Return to Marlinspike Hall and Finale" should be (spoilers)

The cue from the end of the movie when they return to Marlinspike Hall and realize the treasure was in the basement all along.

"The Adventure Continues" should be the final cue that plays before the end credits, and that's all I'll say about that for now. It's possible that it then segues to a reprise of track 1 or other tracked material, but I doubt it. If that was the case he likely would have called it "The Adventure Continues and End Credits" or something.

I still don't understand what "Red Rackham's Curse and The Treasure" is all about.

My best guess is that "Red Rackham's Curse" is

The scene where Haddock tells the story of Franci vs Rackham and we see it visualized

But then what is "The Treasure"?

Since the discovery of the treasure must be in "Return To Marlinspike Hall and Finale", is it perhaps a cue for when they learn that there IS a treasure? But that cue is probably "The Secret Of The Scrolls"...

Oh wait!

Maybe they go to the island with the Francis Haddock in the movie? I thought all that was cut out since the whole Calculus sub stuff is, but who knows

Interesting info Jason! :)

There are no native penguins in Finland!

Finally someone with a refined sense of humor and knowledge of ornithology figured that out!

Actually you are not the first one. Manuel with his veterinary interests noticed this first a good while ago.

Wonderful. A full saxophone chorus, plus 2 bass clarinets, harpsichord and accordion. Typical of early 20th century European-styled orchestration, I'd say (Milhaud, Poulenc, etc.) and pretty spot-on for the setting and the characters. Can't wait to listen to it!

And my bet is that "Snowy's Theme" is a specific concert arrangement written for the OST album (and future concert performances as well).

Isn't that against the Rules?

Yes.

"Mockups made from leaked Tintin or War Horse sheet music are also NOT ALLOWED to be posted to the public forums until after the films have opened."

In Haddock's words:

"Excellent!"

I literally can't stop looking at that tracklist. It's so awesome! Let's hope the music can live up to those exciting titles, which I'm sure it will.

Now we just need the cover... and the samples... and the score... and the complete score with/without FX.

You don't mean the beginning, you mean the bars shown in the leaked scan right (bars 39New through 42New) right?

And you mean the spanish teaser, not the second trailer, right?

BTW I think I mentioned it, but the Williams music heard in the spanish teaser is Snowy's Theme

Oh, well, yes i mean those bars.

Lol i'm so stupid, i thought it was the beginning :D

I don't know wether it's to be played fast or slow... I choose 100 bpm as the tempo in Finale.

I'm sorry guys, it's against the rules, so no mockup here.

So it looks like we don't get an end credits suite repeating material already present on the cd. Can we assume The Adventure Continues is the first part of the End Credits, followed by the two concert suites of the first 2 tracks?

Oh 65 minutes of music. Either John is being stingy or this is a lion' share of the score.

But Johnny why did you have to drop the Picking Pockets!???

Just kidding! ;)

Looks good.

I wonder which would have satisfied KM more:

75 minutes of music with the last track being a hybrid of themes... or 65 minutes of music without a track being a hybrid of themes. :P

75 minutes with nearly a complete score would be KMs wish naturally. I would not mind it either but I am quite happy with this much. :P

I am getting the feeling that the bulk of the score is on the OS album. Tintin is not like Harry Potter or Star Wars, which run 140 minutes. Tintin runs only 100 minutes, or less. So 65 minutes of music - with NO repetitions - should include most of the music written. :)

Duh.

I wonder where the fell Dark Lord is. Shouldn't he be here preaching doom and gloom to the flock over this new turn of events? ;)

Well, no matter.

I am just trying to decide whether I am disappointed over there being no track lasting 9 or 10 minutes (or longer). I am not sure.

Once again JW is not James Horner. Unlike his colleague who composes those marathon tracks (18 minutes in Willow, hello?!!!) Williams usually has longer tracks for setpieces and finales and could be that there are not so many long scenes in the film. Or it could be Jungle Chase all over again. What do I know? ;)

Here the finale is nearly 6 minutes long plus after it comes the Adventure Continues.
