They should think about consolidating what they already have with what’s been posted here. Looks like they are still updating it, though at a slow pace.

Thanks.

So all you need to do is to replace "Legends Of The Fall" with the extended version, and "Twilight and Mist"stay as bonus track because "The Ludlows" already contain part of it.

I placed Twilight and Mist immediately before The Ludlows, since more is heard in the film than the snippet in The Ludlows.

They are slightly different, so I think they are actually separate recordings, with Twilight seamlessly seguing into The Ludlows.

@Harry Irene,

Re: the chrono HIGHLANDER,

If, by "Don't Lose Your Head" (AKoMo8), you mean the sequence, as Clancy Brown kidnaps Roxanne Hart, and drives her to the Silvercup building, it should be renamed A Dozen Red Roses For My Darling/New York, New York.

ADRRFMD is the instrumental version of DLYH, and it is this that's heard in the film.

Ps, the film version of AKOM pisses all over the album version, from a very great height.

(edit) the above post read as a little arrogant, for which apologise. I've no desire to poo-pooh @Harry Irene's good work. That being said, ADRRFMY is available, if anyone wants to track that, instead of DLYH. Unfortunately, New York New York is not available...officially... ;)

Has anyone made a list for the 2CD LLL 40th anniversary Close Encounters yet? I'm looking to see which tracks are best to use and whether the tracks on the expanded Collectors Edition can be used.

Nah.  I like it as a bonus track to occasionally listen to, of a 3-years-later revisiting of the world of the score, but definitely have no desire to integrate it into my playlist, I just want the '77 score when I'm listening to that.

I do. I can't listen to the score without it because I almost exclusively watch The Special Edition as that was the first version I saw at the cinema.

O = Yellow Submarine OST (1969)
S = Yellow Submarine Songtrack (1999)

I put together the above chronological programme at my kids’ demand. They hate listening to it out of order, and they want Martin’s orchestral pieces every bit as much as the Lennon–McCartney songs. However, they always want to skip the George Harrison songs!

I took all songs from the Songtrack, and all orchestral arrangements from the OST, but of course the OST also contained a small selection of songs.

That the orchestral tracks are arrangements which George Martin re-recorded for the album. The 1999 DVD release features the isolated audio track of the film score. Martin also arranged a medley called “The Pepperland Suite,” which he recorded in 1998 for his album In My Life.

    I'm getting the impression this track is actually album exclusive, since the music for the scene in the film is completely different. It's not even the same general feeling, so whoever assembled the complete just went with whatever part that wasn't represented in the rest of the files.

    If I had to wager a guess, it's likely a suite version of Already Gone, since the material doesn't appear elsewhere in the full score. Especially when it gets to the proper cue portion, as it differs from all the versions on the complete.

    Does anyone know the chronological order of the tracks from Daniel Pemberton’s Birds of Prey score? I’ve been trying to compile it myself for the better part of a year and no one’s been able to help me. Ian’s help would be greatly appreciated. I’d also like to know he chronological track listings of James Newton Howard’s Atlantis the Lost Empire and Raya and the Last Dragon scores, as well as Tom Holkenborg’s Mad Max Fury Road, if you wouldn’t mind.

    Is Lost and Found legitimately part of the score or just a bonus track/suite? I can’t seem to find it (in the way that it’s presented on the soundtrack) in the movie at all.

    It's a suite for the album. It doesn't play anywhere in the movie.
