  1. If JW is writing the score for this movie, I suspect he won't be the conductor during the sessions. Even if he is healthy enough to do so, it is a big time commitment (assuming the movie has a lot of score). JW has mentioned in the past about committing to long scoring schedule at his age.
  2. "Selections from THE ACOLYTE" My holy grail list is finally complete!!
  3. Thanks, I didn't know the 1st is usually when they announce stuff. I thought it was random. Thanks for the tip.
  4. Look, this is obviously great and everything, but I just purchased LIcence To Kill a few days ago and it has already shipped. I could have saved another postage cost to Ireland. It annoys me because this is actually the third time this has happened where LLL announces a new must-buy days after I have placed an order for something else. #FirstWorldProblems Anyway... The Reivers has been expanded
  5. Got 70%. I would have had 80% if that 2005 question was worded unambiguously.
  6. I've watched the video a few times and I honestly can't see the massive deterioration that some people are describing here. His speech is undeniably more slurred than before but he simply looks his age and he is clearly cognitively OK. A stroke, especially for someone in their 90s, could lead to some severe irreversible disabilities which don't appear to be apparent in the video. I'm not saying he is as healthy as he was a few years ago, nor do I expect him to start travelling the country again doing concerts. But my fear over the last year was that the next time we see JW, he'd be in some kind of semi-vegetative state and that clearly isn't the case.
  7. His speech had already developed a slur before this current medical issue so the slurred voice in that video might just be a progression of that. Honestly, it just feels good to see him again after radio silence for so long.
  8. Logically, if he cannot guarantee an appearance at a concert in his home city, conducting a concert in a different continent seems very much in doubt.
  9. I need to order this and something from LLL. Is there a website that I can buy both from (to save on shipping costs).
  10. I wonder what the normies thought when he included Jane Eyre in his Chicago concerts about 5 years ago. I obviously loved hearing it but I'm sure some in the audience were getting bored.
  11. I feel like in order to fully appreciate Mozart, you need to be somewhat proficient in musical composition and theory to appreciate the genius of his work. At least that's how I feel. I really enjoy his more popular works like his 40th symphony, but his technical mastery goes right over my head. My musical taste is based on liking a melody, enjoying the sound scape of the orchestration, or the emotions elicited from the music rather than recognizing the technical mastery needed to compose it.
  12. So what is actually missing from LLL? Off the top of my head would be the source cue from the belly dancer bar scene, and the banjo music and subsequent brief "stately" strings at the introduction of the Auric Stud location.
  13. OK, that makes sense. I knew the LLL release didn't contain any previously unreleased cues but I didn't know there were different versions of the OST based on country.
