{"id":16652,"date":"2025-08-24T20:02:41","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T20:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jwfan.com\/?p=16652"},"modified":"2025-08-24T20:04:02","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T20:04:02","slug":"new-john-williams-artticle-at-the-guardian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jwfan.com\/?p=16652","title":{"rendered":"John Williams Article at The Guardian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As one of the greatest composers in film, John Williams has written some of the most memorable music in cinema for masterpieces such as Jaws, Jurassic Park and Star Wars.<\/p>\n<p>But despite winning five Oscars, the 93-year-old believes that, as an art form, film music pales in comparison to history\u2019s great works.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never liked film music very much,\u201d he confessed in a rare interview for a forthcoming biography.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cFilm music, however good it can be \u2013 and it usually isn\u2019t, other than maybe an eight-minute stretch here and there \u2026 I just think the music isn\u2019t there.
