Just announced! John Williams, the world-renowned composer and a dear friend of the LA Phil, has written a surprise tribute to celebrate Gustavo Dudamel‘s 17-year tenure as Music & Artistic Director. Titled “Bravo Gustavo!”—the same name as the commemoration of Dudamel’s first 10 years with the LA Phil—this new fanfare showcases the orchestra’s trumpet section, honoring both the musicians of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the enduring impact of Dudamel’s leadership.
“Bravo Gustavo!” will premiere on June 4 as a special addition to the “Gustavo Dudamel: Celebrating the Musicians of the LA Phil” program at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
