As first posted on our Forums, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds (and subsequently reported by everyone else), John Williams is expected to return to Los Angeles this week after recovering from a “routine illness” that prevented him to conduct the London Symphony on October 26 at the Royal Albert Hall.
Here’s what record producer and friend Mike Matessino commented regarding Williams’ health:
October 24:
“I can tell you that this is a routine illness and that he will be fine. They will simply get him well in a London hospital and then send him home to L.A. as soon as he can travel.”
October 27:
“Latest report is that the Maestro is doing just fine and may go back to LA on Monday.”
Williams is expected to resume work on the score for Star Wars: Episode IX, which will be recorded next year for a December release.
