John Williams and David Newman will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra on September 4, 5 and 6 in the annual ‘Maestro of the Movies’ concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. The Maestro will lead the second half of the performance and the encores, in a program that will include music from Hollywood classics as well as Williams’ own compositions.
Williams was host of the 2019 concert and recently shared the podium with Newman in 2018 and 2017, when he conducted the World Premiere of Kobe Bryant’s Dear Basketball.
