John Williams will conduct the Filarmonica della Scala orchestra next year, in his first-ever performance in Italy, the orchestra announced this week. The concert will take place on June 19, 2022 at the famous Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
This will be the Maestro’s fourth visit to Europe since 2018, after London (where he was replaced by Dirk Brossé due to illness for his scheduled Oct. 26 concert), Vienna (January 18/19, 2020), and Berlin, where he’s expected to conduct next week.
Tickets for the Milan concert go on sale on April 19, 2022.
