The Legacy of John Williams is proud to announce its collaboration with Cineteca Milano for a series of special screenings and events celebrating the legendary partnership between composer John Williams and director Steven Spielberg, in the year of the composer’s 90th birthday and specifically for the Maestro’s extraordinary sold-out concert with Milan’s Filarmonica della Scala orchestra coming December 12.
From November 6, 2022 to January 7, 2023, Cineteca Milano MIC (Museo Interattivo del Cinema) will host a festival dedicated to the films of Steven Spielberg with music by John Williams, a tribute in 18 films featuring the highlights of the collaboration between the legendary director and the 5-time Academy Award-winning composer—from such essential masterpieces as Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, up to their most recent collaborations including War Horse, The BFG and The Post, but also such beloved films such as Empire of the Sun, Hook, Always, Catch Me If You Can.
